Reopening of the Pollio Ex-Barracks Parking and Launch of a New Tourist Center

The parking lot in the former Pollio barracks will reopen tomorrow. All bureaucratic procedures have indeed been completed. In recent weeks, through the Prefecture of Caserta, an agreement was reached between the municipal administration and the Agency of State Property for the internal management of the spaces owned by the two entities. Independent entrances have also been arranged. The area has 126 parking spots available for car parking, and the parking will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parallel to the reopening of the parking, the construction site for the realization of all the other structures will start, as planned, to host a 'Tourist Center', with dining facilities, a book shop, an info point with souvenir sales, and a multifunctional exhibition room. Moreover, in the area, there will also be space for other services, with special attention dedicated to sustainable mobility, including electric vehicle charging stations and bike sharing.
