The city's green spaces revitalization program will also involve the San Gaetano Errico Park. As already happened for the Park of Viale del Poggio, in the presence of the Councilor for Green Spaces Vincenzo Santagada, the City has proceeded with the handover of the works to the contracted company. Located in the Secondigliano district, at 97 meters above sea level, with an area of about 33,000 square meters, the San Gaetano Errico Park is the largest in the seventh municipality. The revitalization effort aims to make it an urban park with a strong naturalistic characterization. At the formal handover of the works - whose total amount is 266,712 euros plus VAT - the city councilor Pasquale Esposito was also present. The project includes the restoration of the functionality of the structures for various sports activities and the damaged furniture. Furthermore, new equipped spaces will be created: a play area for children and a fenced area for dog walking. The restrooms will be fixed up, and the rest areas will be increased with new seating made with materials more suitable to withstand time. Of particular importance is the intervention that will affect the winter garden, which has been closed for years. To make it usable again, the masonry fence and the wooden roof with plexiglass panels will be demolished, while the area will be cleared of the overgrown invasive vegetation. "The goal of the administration led by Mayor Manfredi is to make the city parks fully usable. The difficulty in ensuring maintenance that has been there in past years has led to problems which, step by step, we remedy with revitalization interventions that serve not only to arrange the green areas and furniture but also to recover spaces for new functions," explained Councilor Santagada.
