This morning, February 3rd at 09:30, the second stage of the roadshow «Be Wise, Drive Safe» took place at the «Enrico Medi» Itis in San Giorgio a Cremano, aiming to stimulate discussion and reflection on the topics of road safety, prevention measures, and technologies.
Welcoming the students of the Institute were Salvador Tufano, Headmaster of Itis «Enrico Medi» and Pietro de Martino, Deputy Mayor of San Giorgio a Cremano. Also in attendance were Major Francesca Ruberto, Commander of the Carabinieri Company of Torre del Greco, Roberto Fasanelli, Board Member of the Meridiani Association and Professor of Social Psychology at UniNA - Secretary of the Scientific Commission «Be Wise, Drive Safe», to explain to the students the main rules dictated by the highway code and the importance of adopting correct driving behavior. The event was coordinated by Sonia Di Domenico, Presenter of the Meridiani Association.
During the meeting, the students listened to the direct testimony of those who have experienced the tragic loss of loved ones in road accidents, such as Leopoldo Iovino, father of Eugenio who died at only 19 years old following a collision with his motorcycle against a public lighting pole in Gragnano. The spot made by the event's testimonials, Gigi and Ross, projected during the training meeting, was impactful and of great sensitivity.
To the over 650 students of the Itis «Enrico Medi» who participated in the training meeting, Prof. Roberto Fasanelli, reminded the students to be an active part of the project, participating in the ideas competition, «Invent a solution for road safety». To participate, the students can present photos, videos, drawings, songs, texts with comments and other original ideas followed in the works by trainers and expert personnel on the topic of road safety.
We remind you that the closing appointment of the X edition will be held on May 8, 2024 with the awarding of the ideas competition «Invent a solution for road safety» at the Mercadante Theater and in Piazza Municipio will be set up, with the contribution of the Entities, Foundations and Category Association collaborating on the project, the «Village on Road Safety» which will host testimonials from the television world, entertainment and sports under the care of the Coni Campania that have been supporting the project for years.
