Robbery Intervention by Police in Naples: Suspect Arrested

Yesterday, officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, during their patrol duty, following a note received at the local Operations Room, intervened at Viale della Costituzione corner Cavalcavia Nord, due to a robbery report. Upon arrival, the police noticed some security guards who, along with an off-duty policewoman, had stopped a man in a highly agitated state and, therefore, they apprehended him not without difficulty. Furthermore, the officers verified that the man had previously snatched the cell phone from the police officer but the latter, in an attempt to prevent his escape, was attacked by the said individual. Therefore, the suspect, a 32-year-old from Massa di Somma, with a police record, was arrested for improper robbery and resistance to a Public Officer.
