Yesterday, on February 15th, the Preliminary Investigation Judge (GIP) of Naples validated the arrest of a suspect, ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples on February 12th, against Accetto Pasquale, born in '96, as he is strongly suspected of having committed a robbery on February 5th, 2024, at the Eurobet betting agency located in Naples at Via Volpicella 173, and an attempted robbery on the same evening at a second branch, also owned by the Eurobet company located in Naples on Via Marghieri 42, in the Barra district.
The GIP also issued a precautionary custody order in prison against the accused (who has a specific criminal record). The two agencies are owned by Gianni Forte, born in '73, and one of them, the one in Via Volpicella 173, was the scene of another recent robbery committed on February 10th, 2024, in relation to which the necessary investigative deepening is underway.
Another betting agency owned by Gianni Forte, located in Via delle Repubbliche Marinare and annexed to the T-MOA Tobacco Bar, was also the object of a robbery on September 19th, 2023. At the same establishment, a sensitization initiative called “Coffee for Legality” was organized on January 18th, 2024.
The investigations were carried out by personnel from the Mobile Squad and the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station in Naples and consisted of examining the images taken from the area's surveillance systems and examining informed persons. The executed measure is a precautionary one, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are admitted, and the recipient of the same is a person under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until the final sentence.
