Romanian Woman Charged with Child Abduction After Attempting to Return to Home Country

She left the home where she lived with her husband and together with her four-year-old daughter tried to reach her country of origin. The woman, of Romanian nationality, has been reported for child abduction. The alarm was raised to the 112 of the Carabinieri by the husband who, after spending some days away for work, had returned to his home in Montefusco, in the province of Avellino. The search by the military of the Mirabella Eclano Company was immediately triggered, who identified the license plate and model of the minivan aboard which mother and daughter were traveling. Thanks to satellite localization, the vehicle was identified and stopped in the province of Arezzo by the local Carabinieri. The woman and the girl were entrusted to social services by order of the judicial authority.
