A whimsical journey that lightly touches on deep social themes. The romantic comedy «Undercover», the first work of Simona Cocozza written with Samantha Cito and starring Antonio Folletto and Maria Pia Calzone, has been selected for the 15th edition of the Bif&st - Bari International Film&TV Festival, scheduled from March 16 to 23, 2024, in the «ItaliaFilmFest/New Italian Cinema» section.
Set in Naples, the work tells the story of the naive and lonely Fiorenzo (Antonio Folletto), a humble handyman, who has always dreamed of traveling but, unable to afford a real vacation, barricades himself at home pretending to have left for the Caribbean.
In his poetic but domestic journey, an intruder bursts in: Matrona (Maria Pia Calzone), a mature former prostitute in search of personal redemption. The imaginary holiday of two such different souls, both marginalized by society, magically turns into love.

«Undercover» is produced by Giovanni Calvino and Giovanni Parisi for Tile Storytellers, Gaetano di Vaio and Giovanna Crispino for Bronx Film, Gianluca Curti and Santo Versace for Minerva Pictures Group, Samantha Cito for FlickTales, in association with Kimberly Olsen, with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture - General Directorate of Cinema, the Campania Region and the Campania Film Commission Foundation.
The cast includes Antonella Morea, Lucianna de Falco, Gianluca Di Gennaro, Angelo Orlando, Christian Giroso, Ernesto Lama, Simone Borrelli, Elisabetta d'Acunzo.
