Safety and Upgrade Works Delivered for Varco Cilentano Roadside in Capaccio Paestum

This morning, the works for the safety measures and upgrade of the roadside in the area of Varco Cilentano, at the crossroads of via Gaiarda in Capaccio Paestum, were delivered. Currently, the area subject to intervention serves as a roadway, while the adjacent roadside is uneven and lacks any arrangement to make it safe. Therefore, the intervention consists of the adjustment and arrangement of a roadside that will be created without altering the state of the places. Inside the roadside, a bus shelter made of iron and glass with a steel seat for pedestrians waiting for the bus will be installed. The intervention includes the creation of sidewalks around which iron railings will be installed for greater pedestrian protection. The sidewalks will also cover an existing consortium canal. The insertion of access ramps for the disabled is planned. The area will be adequately illuminated. The installation of public notice boards is also planned. 'With the start of the works to adjust the roadside in the area of Varco Cilentano, we are securing a dangerous crossroads that over the years has been the scene of serious road accidents,' declares Mayor Franco Alfieri. 'Once again, we are implementing an intervention of great importance for the quality of life of the people who travel that stretch of road, both by car and on foot. It is yet another sign of the attention we pay to every corner of the vast territory of Capaccio Paestum.'
