Thursday, April 11 at 6 PM, in the Church of SS. Marcellino and Festo (Naples, Largo San Marcellino 10), the second event of the series Scarlatti Chamber Young - Musical Dialogues at Federico II will take place, featuring musical gems dedicated to the chamber ensemble of winds and piano: the Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 16, a masterpiece by a twenty-year-old Beethoven, brimming with invention and color; the elegant Sextet in C minor Op. 40 by Louise Farrenc, a 19th-century French composer; the fascinating Piano Quintet in B-flat major composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov at 22, caught between classical echoes and the Slavic folk spirit.

On stage, alongside pianist Elisabetta Furio, young talents grown within the ranks of the Scarlatti Young Orchestra: flutist Francesco Attore, oboist Pierdavide Falco, clarinetist Francesco Abate, bassoonist Mario Brusini, and horn player Angelo Falzarano. The concert will also feature Luca Martingano, Principal Horn of the New Scarlatti Orchestra.

Professor Marco Bizzarini, lecturer in Music History and Musicology at the Federico II University, will present the program.

Riding the wave of last year's success, this new edition of the Scarlatti Chamber Young series relaunches the formula that combines the promotion of young talents with high-quality musical dissemination, thanks to the collaboration of the N.O.S. with Marco Bizzarini, Enrico Careri, Simona Frasca, Maria Rossetti, Giorgio Ruberti, professors and researchers in historical-musical disciplines of the Department of Humanities Studies at Federico II.

The series will continue with events on Wednesday, April 17 (State Archives of Naples at 5 PM), featuring pages for clarinet and piano by Hindemith, Lutoslawsky, and Bruch, and the Pathétique Trio by Glinka for clarinet, cello, and piano. Wednesday, April 24 (State Archives at 5 PM), vocal and instrumental music by Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Mozart, Bruch.
