Serial Bicycle Thief Arrested in Naples

The Carabinieri of the Naples Center operational unit have arrested for aggravated theft L.L., a 51-year-old homeless man, already known to the law enforcement. The man was stopped outside a supermarket on Lomonaco street. On him and in a backpack, he was hiding many items stolen from the market shelves. About 700 euros worth of goods were recovered, among the loot also 10 perfumes hidden in a backpack, which also had an anti-theft tag still firmly attached. When he was stopped, the 51-year-old showed the military a document of identity, which later turned out to be counterfeit. For this reason, he will also have to answer for receiving stolen goods and possession of false documents.
