A flurry of arrests this morning in Acerra. By delegation of the District Attorney of Naples, the carabinieri of the Investigative Nucleus of the Castello di Cisterna Group have carried out 7 precautionary measures against as many suspects. The orders were issued by the Judge of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The 7 in custody are heavily suspected, in various capacities, of the crimes of mafia-type association, possession and carrying of weapons - even clandestine -, possession for the purpose of drug dealing and personal aiding and abetting regarding the fugitive status of the regent of the Avventurato clan of Acerra and surroundings, specialized in extortions.
The executed measure is a precautionary one arranged in the context of preliminary investigations, against which means of appeal are admitted and the recipients of the same are people subject to investigations and, therefore, presumed innocent until final judgment.
