Serious Collision Between Two Trucks in Conza della Campania, Drivers Injured

Two trucks collided on the Ofantina, injuring the two drivers, one of whom is in serious condition. The accident occurred in the municipality of Conza della Campania. The Fire Brigade team from the Lioni detachment intervened around 1pm to free one of the two drivers from the wreckage. The two trucks involved were travelling on the Ofantina in opposite directions. Due to the violent impact, one of the two men at the wheel, a 64-year-old from San Valentino Torio in the province of Salerno, was trapped in the twisted metal and after being freed, was transported to the hospital of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi for medical treatment. The driver of the other vehicle, a 46-year-old from Eboli also in the province of Salerno, was examined on the spot by the 118 medical staff. The two trucks were secured, and the Carabinieri of the Sant'Andrea Di Conza Station carried out the investigations.
