A serious road accident occurred last night in the city center of Avellino. A 33-year-old man was airlifted to the Naples Sea Hospital. A 28-year-old man is also in serious condition.
The fire brigade of Avellino intervened just after one o'clock last night in Via Colombo, for the accident that involved two cars. Two other cars parked nearby were also damaged. In the violent impact, a 33-year-old man was trapped in the cockpit and after being extracted, he was handed over to the 118 health workers who transported him for initial treatment to the Moscati Hospital in Avellino.
In the second car, a 28-year-old boy was also injured and taken to the hospital. The crashed vehicles were made safe and the Carabinieri of Avellino and a patrol from the Ospedaletto D'Alpinolo station intervened on the spot, carrying out their relevant investigations. A little later, around 5, the same team of firefighters went to the Coni Field in Avellino, to assist in the landing and take-off of the 118 air ambulance, which took the 33-year-old man to the Del Mare Hospital in Naples for further treatment.
