Severe Weather Alert Issued in Benevento by Mayor Clemente Mastella

Following the information received from the Civil Protection, the mayor of Benevento, Clemente Mastella, has issued a notice for adverse weather conditions, from 8 pm today and for 24 hours; in particular, scattered precipitation is expected, even in the form of downpour or thunderstorm. The mayor, as usual, invites the population to avoid frequenting basements or ground floor premises, mainly if along roads affected by large water flows and in any case to constantly monitor the level of runoff water. In case of flooding, immediately disconnect the electricity; proceed with great caution, in case of need to cross a road underpass by car, a critical site during weather alerts, verifying its practicability and, if not, immediately communicate to the emergency numbers 112, 113, 115; Furthermore, maximum attention is urged by Mastella in sites already indicated for hydrogeological risk (slopes and hillsides for possible landslides and mudslides) and hydraulic risk (underpasses and sewer collector areas for possible flooding); and particular caution is advised in movements, limiting them to what is strictly necessary.
