Shots of Passion: A Photographic Journey Through Easter Traditions

Tomorrow marks the start of "Shots of Passion", the photographic exhibition included in the Easter events program "Resurrexit", born from the synergy between the Municipality of Sant'Agnello and the Sant'Anello Brotherhoods, realized within the project "Sant'Agnello. Lights, colors, and music - From the Secular to the Sacred", with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Naples. Until March 31, inside the municipal palace in Piazza Matteotti, photographs of the processions carried out by the Venerable Brotherhood of the Sacred Heart of Mary and Saint Joseph, the Venerable Archbrotherhood of the Gonfalone of Saints Prisco and Agnello, and the Royal Archbrotherhood of the Holy Sacrament and Nativity of the Virgin Mary will be on public display. "Our land is steeped in popular traditions. And the processions of the hooded ones are an expression of the link between man, faith, culture, and local history," comments the Tourism Councilor Marcello Aversa, "We narrate this social phenomenon, which captures the attention and curiosity of the entire world, through the shots of local photographers and the dedication of the Brotherhoods that pass down gestures and suggestions from generation to generation." The exhibition is included in the metropolitan events calendar for 2023/2024.
