Silvia Imparato, owner of the Montevetrano farm, has won the XI edition of the Golden Venus Award, promoted by the Salerno Chamber of Commerce and the Committee for Female Entrepreneurship (CIF). An award «For the long experience gained in the wine sector and for the entrepreneurial skills with which she has become an exporter of the “Made in Salerno” with the “Montevetrano” brand, affirming a product and a company at an international level. An original and innovative reality from its inception, within a territory unusual for this vocation, becoming an example to follow for the development of the sector», thus the commission that evaluated the applications submitted to the Chamber of Commerce expressed itself. She received a gold and diamond brooch, specially minted by the goldsmith Rosmundo Giarletta, depicting Botticelli's Venus, symbol of the CIF.
The ceremony's program, held this afternoon at the representative office of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, included the awarding of other recognitions. In particular, the innovation award was given to Elena Salzano of Incoerenze srl, the internationalization award to Stefania Rinaldi of Rinaldi Group spa, the time reconciliation award to Liliana Del Duca of the company Elios Li Cylentos, the green award was won by Rosa Ferro of the farm Il Dono dell’Erba, the career award to Luisa Barba of Louise since 1961, the award for the valorization of traditions to Lucia Di Mauro of Amalpheat cooking school, the female employment award to Francesca Ragone of the company Beyouty, finally the award for the valorization of culture to Sara Cammarosano of Jewellery Design.
The meeting, moderated by journalist Monica Di Mauro, began with the greetings of the president of Unioncamere and the Salerno Chamber of Commerce Andrea Prete and the introduction of the president of the Committee for Female Entrepreneurship Agnese Ambrosio, followed by the speech of Ornella Malandrino, director of the Department of Business Sciences of the University of Salerno, all enlivened by readings and music performed by Daniela d'Aragona - voice, and Fabrizio Maria Mandara - voice and guitar.
The latest survey of the business register indicates that there are over 1,325,000 female enterprises in Italy, with a feminization rate of 22% of the total. In the province of Salerno, pink companies are 28,239 and represent 23.3% of the total. The highest percentage of female enterprises (36.7%), is recorded in the sector that also includes personal services, health, and education. Also noteworthy are the sectors of agriculture, with about 30.3%, tourism with 29.9%, and commerce with 23.8%. «The chamber system has long been strongly committed to the themes of employment and female entrepreneurship – states the president of Unioncamere and the Salerno Chamber of Commerce Andrea Prete. In particular, the terms are still open to adhere to the call for proposals to obtain contributions aimed at receiving technical assistance and support to reduce the gender gap in the company and thus obtain Gender Equality Certification. At the same time, in partnership with Invitalia, there is an active program aimed at spreading entrepreneurial culture among women and increasing their presence in the world of work and business, financed with funds from the PNRR».
