In Paestum, at Villa Salati in the archaeological area, for the first time, three classical music concerts will be held by the San Giovanni Chamber Orchestra. The Spring Concerts are born from the collaboration between Dum Dum Republic and "Umlaut - La Tua Musa APS". The orchestra and solo performances will greet the beginning of the new season in a scenario unique in the world.
Biancaluna Bifulco and Domenico Tanza, the organizers of the initiative, promote it as "A hymn to beauty and the arrival of the most poetic and romantic season of the year. It's our welcome to Spring, bringing with it its promise of new beginnings and fresh melodies in the air, through timeless music, from Vivaldi to Mozart to Morricone".
The first of the Spring Concerts is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, at 19:00.
The San Giovanni String Orchestra from Naples, conducted by the Italo-American composer Keith Goodman, will perform, embellished by the solo violin of Natalia Shestakova.
These concerts are opportunities to immerse oneself through classical music in nature, surrounded by the scents and colors of the new season.
Thanks to the availability and sensitivity of the Marano Family, the first Spring Concert will take place in a suggestive location, Villa Salati: the notes will blend with the ancient atmosphere of the old city of Paestum, creating an unforgettable experience for all spectators, say the organizers.
The goal of the initiative is to make the Spring Concerts a stable appointment, to be repeated every year in an increasingly rich form.
The San Giovanni Orchestra represents an independent reality in Campania, which sustains itself through commitment, managing to bring its music, not only in Italy but also abroad, reaching China. Bach and Mozart are central, without forgetting contemporaneity through the soundtracks of maestro Ennio Morricone. Vivaldi's "Spring" will not be missing, performed by the violin of Natalia Shestakova.
The concert will be free entry, but spectators will be able to participate in a social gathering, organized by the Umlaut Association, through a small contribution that allows the non-profit organization to continue its activities.
The intention is to involve the spectators in creating a cultural community in Paestum, capable of sharing ideas to propose a rich and varied artistic offer even in the absence of public intervention. An innovative idea of active citizenship in the field of music and culture that, through everyone's commitment, can create artistic moments in the heart of Magna Graecia, fostering aggregation and encouraging tourism activities, with an eye to the youth and the entire community.
