Stabbing Incident in Naples: Young Man Injured

Blood and knives in Naples. The Carabinieri intervened on Pietro Castellino street, near the Montedonzelli metro line 1 stop, for a stabbing incident. For reasons still under investigation, a man in his fifties reportedly pulled out a knife and struck a 21-year-old in the throat with several blows, who was there with other youths. The stabbing was reportedly preceded by a quarrel among peers. The victim, a 22-year-old, was found to have a history of drug trafficking. Personnel from the 118 emergency service also arrived at the scene and transferred the young man to the Cardarelli hospital where the medical staff sutured the wound. Investigations are ongoing by the Carabinieri to identify the aggressor and to understand the reasons behind the act.
