Police Initiatives Against Gender Violence in Caserta: A Collaborative Effort

As part of the State Police's initiatives to combat gender violence, the Police Chief of Caserta has signed a memorandum of understanding with the "Spazio Donna" association and the social cooperative "Spazio Donna - Anti-Violence Center", with the aim of ensuring the protection of victims. The protocol includes collaboration in the training activities of their respective personnel, through a permanent dialogue for the exchange of information useful for the prevention of the phenomenon, in the creation of informative paths aimed at schools and the citizenry, and in communicating to victims of violence their respective duties of assistance and in combating the phenomenon. In the collaboration procedures, it has been provided for the communication to victims of the possibility of using the legal instrument of the Police Chief's warning, an administrative measure of the Public Security Authority that warns the perpetrator of persecutory or violent acts, not yet constituting a crime, to stop the behavior and avoid the initiation of criminal proceedings.
