This morning, during a patrol in the territory of Caivano, officers and agents of the metropolitan police of Naples, coordinated by commander Lucia Rea, discovered and seized a car with a fake German license plate that was reported stolen in September 2021 by a woman from Cava de' Tirreni, a few months after its purchase.
The patrol, near the public residential construction IACP in Via Atellana, stopped a vehicle with a foreign license plate that was suspicious to the specialized police officers.
After various checks, the personnel of the metropolitan city police of Naples discovered that the German plates on the car, a Fiat Panda, had never been issued by Germany and were therefore completely false, as was the counterfeit chassis number: the operators managed to trace the original one and discovered that it belonged to the car stolen in 2021 in the Metelliano municipality.
The fake German plates and the Fiat Panda have been placed under judicial seizure pending further checks aimed at returning the vehicle to its rightful owner.
The driver, a 36-year-old man, has been reported for laundering and use of a false document.
