Stolen Vehicle Recovery Leads to Arrest in Naples

In the early morning, officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office and the Ponticelli Police Station, following a note received at the local Operations Room, intervened on Carlo Miranda Avenue due to a report of a stolen vehicle. The police, promptly arriving on the scene, noticed an individual inside the car in question who, upon seeing them, quickly got out of the vehicle attempting, in vain, to enter a commercial establishment but was reached and stopped. From the investigations that followed, the reason for the escape attempt emerged as the individual, a 48-year-old from Naples, was under house arrest for drug-related and property crimes; moreover, the officers ascertained that the vehicle had been stolen on Wednesday. For these reasons, the individual was arrested for evasion as well as reported for receiving stolen goods; finally, the vehicle was returned to its owner.
