Student Occupations at University: A Dynamic Debate

"I have lived through many occupations, they are part of that dynamic of debate that has always occurred in all Universities, whenever there have been issues that have aroused the interest and participation of the students, a situation of discussion and also of occupation has always been created," highlighted the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, regarding the occupation, for days, of the rectorate of the Federico II university. "We must not demonize these things, they are part of the life of the university, I say this from my experience," explained the mayor, "Obviously everything must occur within the framework of the democratic relationship and above all of respect for the rules. It is necessary to respect everyone's ideas with a principle of tolerance."
