On Sunday, the appointment with the Earth Market, sponsored by Slow Food and patronized by the Municipality of Sant’Agnello, is renewed. From 9:00 to 13:00 in Piazza Matteotti, companies from the Sorrento peninsula and all over Campania, selected according to the criteria of "happy degrowth", will offer their seasonal products: fresh vegetables, fruit, wine, jams, honey, eggs, cheeses, the truffle of Bagnoli Irpino, the Giffoni PGI hazelnuts and sweets. At 11:00, the Taste Workshop will be dedicated to the Management and knowledge of sourdough, guided by the master pastry chef Antonio Gargiulo.
A tasting will follow. The Earth Market in Sant’Agnello takes place monthly, every fourth Sunday of the month, and aims to encourage conscious spending and genuine food. The local Slow Food Conduct includes the territories from Massa Lubrense to Castellammare di Stabia and the island of Capri. According to the principles of the movement, it is committed to safeguarding and promoting local biodiversity and spreading education on "good, clean and fair" food.
