Teenage Napoli Fan Assaulted in Lecce: Suspects Identified

After a long investigative activity, the Digos of Lecce has identified the alleged perpetrators of an assault against a fifteen-year-old Salento fan of Napoli, which occurred during the football match Lecce-Napoli played on September 30, 2023. The boy, along with his father, was heading to their designated sector just before the start of the match when he was accosted by two yellow-red supporters who did not hesitate to hit him with a slap in the face and a kick, taking possession of the Napoli ultras scarf he was wearing. The minor was then taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a foot trauma, deemed healable in a few days. At the conclusion of the activity, two Salento fans, aged 47 and 43, were reported for the crime of 'aggravated robbery and injuries with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the act against a minor during sports events.' The police commissioner has imposed a ban on them from accessing places where sports events are held for the duration of 18 and 24 months.
