Teenager Injured in Russian Roulette Incident with Modified Blank Gun

This morning, the Carabinieri of Frattamaggiore intervened at the Pozzuoli hospital for a 19-year-old injured in the temple with what appeared to be a metallic object. The foreign body remained lodged and was protruding from the skull. According to what was reconstructed by the military, the young man had been transported to the Frattamaggiore hospital and then to that of Pozzuoli, by an ambulance that had picked him up on Via Vergara (Frattamaggiore). The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri have documented that the lodged object was a bullet fired from a modified blank gun. The trigger was pulled by the same 19-year-old, while challenging a young friend to 'Russian roulette'. The two have been identified and reported for Illegal Possession and Receiving of an Altered Weapon. The gun was seized, found in a field in Frattamaggiore upon indication by the two boys. The 19-year-old is not in life-threatening condition and has been deemed recoverable in 10 days.
