The Arcos Museum on Stefano Borgia Street in Benevento will be closed to the public until February 9. This has been communicated by the Heritage sector and the administrative management of the Museum Network of the Province.
The decision follows the need to implement safety measures for access to the Arcos exhibition and museum area, which is located in approximately 2,000 square meters of the basement of the Government Palace.
In fact, being this last building entirely fenced off due to the danger of falling debris, a protection has been arranged for the entrance of the Arcos Museum on Borgia Street, which is located on one of the sides of the imposing building. While waiting for the general works for its safety to be arranged by the owner of the Government Palace, a temporary cover for the access driveway to Arcos will therefore be created by the Province within four days to protect visitors and staff working in the facility.
The Provincial Museum hosts both the Egyptian section with the artifacts of the temple of Iside of Benevento from the Roman imperial era and the contemporary art section.
