Five years after the publication of the letter «Midnight of Noon?», the bishops of the Benevento Metropolis are making their voices heard again, emphasizing the issue of inner areas, increasingly marginalized and crossroads of devastating problems for local communities and for the country, foremost among them poverty, demographic decline, and depopulation.
In these years, the commitment of the bishops has aroused curiosity and attention to the problem they raised even beyond regional borders.
On Monday, April 22, at 11, at the Archbishop's Palace in Benevento, Archbishop Felice Accrocca and the bishops of the Metropolis will present the letter «The Possible Challenge», with which they seek to take stock of the situation, urging renewed commitment to overcome shortcomings and contradictions and thus promote the redemption of our realities through greater synergy.
An initial opportunity will be the session of the forum titled: «High Speed - Leaving, returning... perhaps staying», which will focus on the major themes of interconnections. The initiative will take place in Benevento at the «La Pace» center on the 6th and 7th of May.
