The Valle Bridges of the Carolino Aqueduct light up again. On April 22, at 7 p.m., in the square below the Valle Bridges, the inauguration of the Carolino Aqueduct's night lighting will take place.
The director of the Reggia di Caserta Tiziana Maffei, the mayor of the Municipality of Valle di Maddaloni Francesco Buzzo and representatives of the local administrations, institutions, and associations involved in the valorization of the Vanvitellian masterpiece will turn on the lights of the eighteenth-century monument.
The Reggia di Caserta has been activated for the refunctionalization of the system and to ensure, for the future, the inclusion of the Valle Bridges' lighting among its scheduled maintenance activities. The costs of the electrical energy will instead be the responsibility of the Municipality of Valle di Maddaloni. The initiative is part of the project to enhance the monumental stretch of the Carolino Aqueduct, in accordance with the provisions of the Unesco Management Plan.
Last March, the first roundtable was held to focus on joint actions for the hydraulic engineering masterpiece by Luigi Vanvitelli. The Directorate of the Reggia di Caserta, manager of the Vanvitellian engineering work, has promoted the creation of an inter-institutional network that can work together in a medium and long-term planning perspective for shared and coordinated activities.
