The Craze for the 'Mare fuori' Set: Naples Naval Base among Italy's Top Visited FAI Sites

Everyone is crazy for the 'Mare fuori' set: the naval base of the Italian Navy in Naples, with the San Vincenzo pier, where the popular TV series is set, secures the second place among the most visited FAI (Italian Environment Fund) sites in Italy after the Abbey of Cervara in Santa Margherita Ligure and before the Pirelli Skyscraper in Milan; in fourth place is Palazzo Carpano in Turin, closing the ranking is the Rai headquarters, also in the Piedmontese capital. In total, 550,000 Italians chose the 750 sites, exceptionally opened in 400 cities. Over two days, in the Campanian capital, 4800 tourists and Neapolitans were recorded at the naval base, 2400 at Castel Capuano, 600 at Villa Rosebery (accessible only by reservation, with registration to FAI), 700 at the rectorate of Federico II.
