The Maschio Angioino's Date Garden Returns

The date garden at Maschio Angioino returns. On the access road, starting today, the flowerbed that marks the date of the day with gravel and green plants has been reintroduced, restoring the function of the date garden that it already had in the 1950s, thanks to a joint initiative of the Department of Health and Green Spaces and the Municipality 1. The installation, which has already become an attraction and a destination for souvenir photos for the many citizens and tourists passing through Piazza Municipio, is part of the project for the redevelopment and technological improvement of the flowerbed located to the south of the entrance of Castel Nuovo Napoli. Here, a custom-made structure filled with gravel has been created, on which the date is displayed using pots of gravel and boxwood or floral essences. This system will prevent the proliferation of weeds and will make it easier for operators who update the date on the flowerbed daily.
