The “moms' group,” a virtual square for exchange and discussion among thousands of parents with one common denominator: the care for their children-students. A community within a community, diverse, often folkloric where advice and service communications alternate with more or less heated confrontations.
One such confrontation arises on the whatsapp mega-group of a kindergarten class at a school in Scampia. The institute offers the possibility each week for two parents to participate in school activities, to monitor and follow the progress of their children and ensure that the educational promises are kept.
Participation is on a rotational basis, two parents at a time, to be agreed upon for each class among those interested.
It happens that one of the moms - this is what has emerged so far - decides arbitrarily to change the visit day. Without considering overlaps and without asking for the opinion of other parents. It would be that day, no matter what.
The decision is communicated on the whatsapp group and from that moment the controversy mounts. From complaints, it escalates to insults.
The following day, the issue is addressed outside the school. Starting with two moms, then supported by others. After a few seconds of scuffle, the count will reach 7. Seven furious women brawl without holding back.
Someone notifies the carabinieri of the Scampia station, whose headquarters is exactly in front of the school.
The women disperse but the investigations do not stop. That violent brawl was captured by the cameras of a commercial activity. The images are clear and allow after a few days to identify the women involved.
They will all be reported for brawl.
