The Second Edition of the Mediterranean Tour in Pink Begins in Frattamaggiore

The second edition of the Mediterranean Tour in Pink starts from Frattamaggiore, the second most important race in all of Italy in women's cycling. Twenty-one teams, 126 athletes at the start, all continents represented: the international competition promoted by the Black Panthers association of Francesco Vitiello and by the Biesse Group of Salvatore Belardo, is ready for another exciting adventure, after the successful experience of last year. The 2024 edition embraces two regions, Campania and Puglia, touching two seas, the Tyrrhenian and the Adriatic. It starts tomorrow, Friday, April 19, at 14:00 with the Frattamaggiore-Terzigno in the Vesuvius National Park of 106.650 km; Saturday 20 will be the turn of the Montefalcione-Torre del Greco (103.6 km); from Sunday, April 21, the region changes, with the Barletta-Barletta of 122.300 km; Monday 22 Castelnuovo della Daunia-Castelnuovo della Daunia, in a circuit of 31.980 km to be repeated three times; conclusion Tuesday, April 23 with the stage Foggia-Motta Montecorvino. The athletes will compete for four jerseys up for grabs. The most coveted is the one related to the lead in the overall classification, the amaranth (branded Effebiquattro); there is also the white for the young riders (Sustech and Biesse Group); the blue jersey for the points classification (Form Retail); the green destined for the leader of the mountain grand prix (Fratelli Balsamo).
