There is a showcase at the entrance of the Naples Archaeological Museum. It celebrates the football team's championship with a caption: "The MANN celebrates a masterpiece season!" This image alone, unique in its kind and certainly unusual for a museum, tells the symbiotic relationship of one of the oldest and most important cultural institutions in the world for wealth and uniqueness of its heritage, and the city of Naples.
A place told by the documentary of Vanni Gandolfo “’O Museo” - produced by GA&A Productions in collaboration with Rai Cultura, airing Wednesday, February 14 at 9.15 pm in premiere on Rai for “Art Night” with Neri Marcorè. A relationship between the museum and its city condenses sacred and profane, unique works and popular culture, and seals the marriage between the two souls of Naples, heart of the south and a unique and unrepeatable city.
For eight years the MANN has not only been a museum, but also a reference point for the city of Naples, a cultural and anthropological center that combines archaeology and society embracing the Forcella and Sanità districts, which the Museum aims to requalify with its initiatives.
