«This is one of those videos I didn't want to make» begins the video-denunciation of Miryam Gison, owner of the La Bottega delle Parole bookstore, a place hit by a theft on the night between Saturday and Sunday in San Giorgio a Cremano, in the province of Naples.
The thieves did not find large sums of money, but the vandal act caused all the events scheduled yesterday in the bookstore's park to be cancelled, as communicated by the bookstore itself through its social channels.
«The cameras were not able to capture the area, they destroyed our gazebo and cash register. But they did not find any money. No books were stolen. But the gesture hurts us a lot. The mayor of the Vesuvian municipality, Giorgio Zinno, also wanted to express his closeness: «The bitterness remains that there are scoundrels who act with the sole aim of doing harm, despising the sacrifices that people like Miryam make to bring culture and civility to our city. We support the La Bottega delle Parole association, a bastion of humanity, culture and knowledge and do not let these criminals win, we hope they will soon be brought to justice» said the mayor.
