One thousand euros worth of liquor stolen with the help of a double-bottomed shirt. Two people have been arrested by the Carabinieri and must answer for aggravated theft - two Georgians with no criminal records, aged 53 and 33 years.
The Carabinieri from the stations of Sorrento and Massa Lubrense stopped them outside a supermarket, while they were filling several bags with dozens of bottles of liquor. These had been stolen - the military reconstructed - from several markets on the Sorrentine peninsula.
Curious was the trick used to conceal the merchandise: a tailored shirt with a double bottom in which to insert the bottles. The value of the recovered loot, which was then returned, was over a thousand euros.
The two Georgians have been handcuffed and are now in a security room, waiting for trial.
