The Carabinieri of the Cerreto Sannita Company and the Telese Terme station, at the conclusion of the investigation, have reported to the Prosecutor's Office of Benevento, three young 20-year-olds, all residents in Valle Telesina, because they are believed to be responsible, in competition with each other, for the crime of improper robbery and personal injury, crimes committed in Telese Terme on February 6 against a 64-year-old local merchant.
The investigations were initiated following the request for intervention from the victim who, late in the evening of February 6, was robbed of her purse and fell heavily to the ground in resisting the perpetrator of the crime. Due to the injuries sustained, she was rescued and transported to the Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Benevento and subsequently underwent surgery. The victim, in the complaint made to the judicial police in the following days, specified that the bag contained a small sum of money, personal documents and gold jewelry from her family that she preferred to carry with her rather than leave at home.
The info-investigative activities, supported by images recorded by private surveillance cameras acquired in the days immediately following the criminal event, have made it possible to acquire elements of guilt against the aforementioned and also, following house searches carried out against the subjects, the entire loot consisting of the stolen bag, all the gold objects as well as the personal documents, everything returned to the rightful owner, in addition two subjects were found in possession of drugs and reported to the administrative authority for personal use of drugs.
