His car had flipped over on the highway but he had managed to get out of the cockpit. Just when he thought he was safe, however, Emmanuel Esposito, a 26-year-old from Casalnuovo, was hit by a car that left him no chance: the young father of a two-year-old girl died on impact.
The fatal accident occurred on the Rome-Napoli highway, near the Caserta Nord exit. According to an initial reconstruction of events, the car driven by Esposito, for reasons still unknown and subject to investigation, violently hit the guardrail, causing the vehicle to flip. The young man managed to get out of the cockpit, but unfortunately he was hit by another passing car, tragically losing his life. The precise dynamics of the accident are still under investigation and further study by the competent authorities.
Police officers promptly intervened at the scene, carrying out all the necessary investigations to fully understand the circumstances that led to this terrible tragedy. In addition, firefighters and rescuers from the 118 service intervened to provide assistance, but unfortunately they could only confirm the young man's death.
