Tragic Loss of a 14-Year-Old in Nocera Inferiore: Autopsy and Investigation Underway

The assignment for the autopsy of the 14-year-old from Sarno who lost his life last Monday in the hospital of Nocera Inferiore will be conferred Monday morning. Following a complaint filed with the carabinieri by the family (assisted by lawyers Mario Balzano and Sofia Pisani), the Nocera Inferiore prosecutor's office has opened a file to clarify the causes of death. The investigation is coordinated by the public prosecutor Federica Maria Teresa Miraglia who has recently sent a notice of guarantee to at least 14 doctors and health workers who followed the young boy during his stay in the hospitals. The 14-year-old, who complained of nausea and a severe headache, was taken to the emergency room of the Sarno hospital on Saturday evening. He was then transferred to the Umberto I of Nocera Inferiore where he arrived around 10:45 PM. On Sunday afternoon, the young boy was admitted to Neurosurgery, but overnight his condition suddenly deteriorated. The autopsy will clarify the causes of death and any responsibilities. The health management of Umberto I has also initiated an internal investigation to reconstruct the events.
