Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives in Salerno

Cosimo Filantropia, the retiree from Campagna involved in the tragic accident on the state road where the Carabinieri from Puglia, Francesco Pastore and Francesco Ferraro, lost their lives, did not make it. After a week of agony, the 75-year-old who was traveling in the third car involved in the deadly pile-up between an SUV and the Carabinieri's patrol car has also passed away. The man was hospitalized in serious condition at the hospital in Battipaglia. Therefore, the death toll from the dramatic road accident that happened just over a week ago in Salerno has risen to three. The 31-year-old SUV driver tested positive for alcohol and cocaine and has previous drug-related offenses. The woman is formally under investigation for vehicular homicide by the Salerno Prosecutor's Office, which is coordinating the investigations entrusted to the road police of Eboli.
