Tragic Road Accident in Naples: Young Woman Severely Injured

Another serious road accident occurred in the night in Naples, two hours before the fatal accident in which a 21-year-old girl lost her life while the vehicle that hit her is being sought. On via Leopardi, in the Fuorigrotta district, a 27-year-old girl, residing on that street, after spending the evening with her friends, was accompanied home by taxi with the girls. Getting out of the vehicle at her house, while crossing via Leopardi at the intersection with via Rossetti, she was hit by a car driven by a 24-year-old boy and with a 22-year-old passenger on board. The impact was extremely violent, it seems that the girl who was hit was thrown forward by about 30 meters. The driver of the car continued driving but then returned after 30 minutes to the scene, where he was intercepted by the municipal police officers who intervened to provide assistance and for the surveys. The conditions of the girl who was hit appeared serious immediately, transported by ambulance to the San Paolo hospital where she was hospitalized in critical condition. The on-duty prosecutor was notified, and the vehicle was seized, as well as toxicological tests being conducted on the driver. Both occupants of the offending vehicle were taken to the municipal police headquarters for their full identification as they were without documents.
