Tragic Road Incident Involving SUV Claims Lives of Two Carabinieri

Nancy Liliano, the 31-year-old from Campagna who allegedly caused an accident with her SUV last Saturday night, crashing into a car carrying three carabinieri, two of whom, Carabinieri Marshal Francesco Pastore, 25, and appointed officer Francesco Ferraro, 27, died from their injuries, is still hospitalized. Sources close to the young woman describe her as "very tried and shaken" by what happened. The woman, assisted by lawyer Antonio Boffa, has been notified of two documents: a notice of guarantee for vehicular homicide and very serious personal injuries (in relation to the people injured in the accident, a carabiniere and an elderly man who was in another car) and the seizure of the SUV. Lawyer Boffa - who also represents the girl's father, who is under trial for vehicular homicide in another case - has not yet seen the young woman, but has only heard from her by phone. Utmost confidentiality, at the moment, from the investigators, about the result of the confirmatory toxicological examination to which the thirty-one-year-old has been subjected, already tested positive for the alcohol test and a first drug test.
