Two Arrested for Extortion Following Entrepreneur's Complaint

The agents of the Mobile Squad, following a complaint by an entrepreneur filed at the beginning of the month for two separate attempts of extortion, carried out an investigation activity that allowed them to identify and arrest two people for extortion. In particular, in the past few days, the police, following investigative activities, had ascertained that some individuals had presented themselves at the commercial activity and had demanded from the owner a sum of money in exchange for 'protection', specifying that the same would be collected every month on a predetermined day. In the afternoon of yesterday, the operators, during a surveillance service, noticed the arrival of a car with two subjects on board; one of them, after getting out of the vehicle and having obtained the predetermined sum from the owner of the commercial establishment, was stopped along with the accomplice who was waiting for him in the car. For these reasons, a 30-year-old and a 21-year-old from Caivano, both with previous police records, including specific ones, were arrested for extortion.
