Two Moroccan Youths Arrested for Theft and Assault at Shopping Center

Two young Moroccans will face charges of theft, aggravated personal injury, resistance to a public official, and damage, after they were caught by security personnel last night, just before the stores in the shopping center were closing, while they were removing some clothing items from inside a store. Thanks to monitoring through cameras installed in the shopping center, the security staff immediately reported the theft to the Carabinieri of Marcianise. The soldiers surprised the two a few tens of meters from the store still in possession of the clothing items. Realizing the presence of the Carabinieri and the security personnel, the non-EU citizens attempted to flee. One of them pulled out a knife and struck a security guard, wounding him in the left hand. The young man was immediately reached and disarmed by the Carabinieri of the Marcianise Station, who arrived in support of the Norm. In the backpacks of the two, a 24-year-old and a 21-year-old, both homeless, were found tools suitable for breaking and entering, a kitchen knife, and 2.5 grams of hashish. The two are in the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
