Two Young Motorcyclists Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Vitulazio

Two motorcyclists, aged 24 and 19, from Vitulazio will have to answer for possession with the intent of drug trafficking after they, the other night, riding a Honda Sh motorcycle, attempted to dispose of a 100-gram hashish block upon seeing the carabinieri. In an attempt to lose their tracks, they fled through the streets of the town of Bellona. Chased up to the nearby Carlo Rosselli square, in a further attempt to escape capture, the motorcycle driver hit one of the carabinieri who had ordered him to stop, making him fall to the ground, and in turn, losing control of the motorcycle and falling. In this circumstance, the passenger was immediately apprehended, while the motorcycle driver continued the escape on foot before being reached and apprehended in the nearby town of Vitulazio. A subsequent search conducted at the homes of the two arrested allowed for the discovery and seizure of materials suitable for packaging the drug. The two were placed under house arrest at their respective homes.
