UniSannio's National Open Day: Bridging Aspirations and Academia

On the national "Universities Unveiled" day, UniSannio welcomed about 1,600 high school seniors from 14 institutes in the Sannio and Irpinia areas, offering them the opportunity to explore the university and get a closer look at its educational offerings. The young people on the verge of embarking on their university journey were able to directly interact with professors, researchers, and students of the university. The day began with greetings at Palazzo San Domenico, followed by a journey to discover the university's classrooms and laboratories. "Studying at the university," stated Rector Gerardo Canfora, "is a way to contribute to creating a better society, an opportunity to grow personally, to meet different people, to cultivate interests, to engage in dialogue, to develop a deeper and more conscious understanding of the world and the phenomena that traverse it. And to do all this, the university must first and foremost be a community, generating shared values, where personal, social, and professional relationships are born, relationships that often last a lifetime." For Canfora, "the university must be in person, integrating digital tools while at the same time preserving the essence of the university experience and its community dimension. UniSannio is all of this, an open and stimulating academic community, an evolving educational offering that knows how to center on the student and their needs, quality research activities in cutting-edge laboratories and facilities. All of this set in the ancient heart of the city." Now the open day becomes itinerant, with stops on the 26th at the Fermi institute in Vallata and on the 27th at the Moro in Montesarchio.
