Unlicensed Aesthetic Medicine Practices Exposed in Italy

In addition to numerous aesthetic medicine services, she performed - according to the accusation - services as a beautician, advertised her activity on her Facebook profile, and published posts related to the interventions. A woman from Irpinia ended up in trouble for whom a trial referral was requested following the conclusion of investigations carried out by the financial police of the Ariano Irpino Company and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Benevento. The crimes charged are the unauthorized practice of medicine, fraud, creation of false documents, and false information about personal qualities. The investigations were initiated in November 2021 and were based on an inspection carried out by the financial police. During the investigations, it emerged that the woman, without having any qualifications, practiced as an aesthetic doctor performing cosmetic surgery interventions such as lip fillers, botox, and hyaluronic acid injections on various parts of the face, coming to receive sums quantified at 5,560 euros. During the local search activity, she had shown to the judicial police a parchment of "Short Degree for Teachers of Aesthetic Medicine", issued by the University of Salerno which turned out to be false given the non-existence of a faculty named "Aesthetic Medicine" and a copy of a degree with the heading "University Tor Vergata", which also turned out to be false.
