Unpaid Groceries and a Bold Escape

He entered a supermarket on Via Verdi and, like a regular customer, took some groceries from the shelves. After completing his shopping, he proceeded to the checkout and passed through without paying. When a supermarket employee asked him to pay, he first intimidated the employee by forcefully pounding a fist on the checkout counter and then threatened him with a throat-cutting gesture to prevent him from calling the authorities. The cashier, as soon as the man left, called the police, providing them with a detailed description of the individual and showing them the footage from the internal cameras. The Radiomobile personnel of the Caserta Company recognized the man in the videos: a 53-year-old foreign national, homeless, and not new to such behavior. This led to a search in the places he frequently visited until he was stopped near the train station on a bicycle. In his backpack, the police found the stolen groceries (ketchup, mayonnaise, Coca-Cola, 1 kg of fish, and spices), which were then returned to their rightful owners. The man, in a state of intoxication, resisted but then voluntarily got into the patrol car. He is now in jail for attempted robbery.
