The season of the Troisi Theater continues relentlessly with Antonello Costa and his hilarious show «Costa Power- The power of the smile». On stage in the Leopardi street space, managed and directed by Pino Oliva, the popular comedian considered one of the greatest exponents of Italian variety, until Sunday, February 4 at 6:00 PM (Saturday, February 3, double show at 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM) will offer the public a rich and overwhelming show.
«All the power of the smile in a drink - reads in the notes of the work - Wouldn't it be fantastic, to recover good mood simply by sipping an energizer?» The idea for now is only “virtual” but the versatile Antonello Costa has decided to launch the proposal in his new show «Costa Power». A decidedly therapeutic show in line with the unique style of the Sicilian comedian, who has won his audience with his innate sympathy and that talent that makes him a comedian on the verge of extinction, able to make you laugh or smile while also leaving you a pinch of bitterness, like when he pays tribute to the great Totò or goes from Chaplin to Michael Jackson in a medley of music, mime and dance.
In the new comic variety, Costa will be accompanied as always by the soubrette Annalisa Costa, the sister with whom he has been touring theaters throughout Italy for years, and by a valuable dance corps. To ward off negative thoughts, stress, anxiety and stock up on laughter, Costa advises taking “Costa Power” several times a week, because the best medicine to face life's difficulties has always been a rich dose of irony.
Two hours of pure energy, with a series of performances taken from the famous repertoire and absolute novelties: the Sicilian cowboy, Nicolino the Chinese and the caricature, “The Chinese mushroom”, the new song “I'm tired of jazz” on which he will dance tap, the pun “A man of the world”, Don Antonino, the salsa dancer, Jose Pampero and many others, for a family-sized show that combines the magic of theater with moments of hilarious comedy and cabaret.
