Vandalism at Avellino Bus Station: Surveillance Cameras Damaged

Vandalic raid at the Avellino Bus Station. Three surveillance cameras installed by Air Campania were uprooted and damaged. The company has announced that "two were positioned on the roof, one serving the stairs leading to the garages. This last one captured the perpetrators, three individuals who, undeterred by being filmed, managed to put the camera out of operation. It is still unclear whether the damage to the cameras on the roof was done by the same individuals. The company, in possession of the video sequences documenting the entire raid, has instructed its legal department to file a complaint with the competent authorities. This is not the first criminal act committed against the public structure. In recent months, several raids that have targeted the facility have been reported. For this reason, Air Campania has intensified its efforts by enhancing the video surveillance system, which now boasts over 100 cameras. Moreover, the regional company is engaged in the first step of the digitalization project: "After the installation of digital screens inside the Bus Station, the wiring is being completed to connect the monitors to the 24 bays, which will then be connected to the bus monitoring system and to the smart stops."
