Waste Focus Hackathon: Combining Innovation and Sustainability

The "Waste Focus", the annual event organized by Asia to bring together testimonies, experiences, and best practices in the waste world, returns this year but in a "hackathon" version: a competition where groups of people come together to collaborate on software or hardware projects in a competitive environment with a defined time limit. The main goal is to develop creative, innovative, or functional solutions to specific problems or to create new projects and prototypes. The event is scheduled for March 18th at Palazzo Paolo V. At 10 am, greetings will be made by the mayor of Benevento Clemente Mastella, the Environment Councilor Alessandro Rosa, and the sole administrator of the company Donato Madaro. Then, throughout the day, the competing teams will work on their projects which will be presented around 5:30 pm and then voted on by a jury composed of the mayor, administrators, academics, and sector experts. The first three classified will win a training and mentoring program, offered by the "Sei Sannio" incubator, for the validation of the idea.
